Brooklyn Tournament Announcement

Nature's beauty is often evidenced in pleasing symmetries; a butterfly has two identical wings, and Scarlett Johansson has two ginormous...eyes. Creating ginormous symmetry in a videogame tournament: Wiimbledon 2008, now in San Francisco AND Brooklyn.

Deets:

1. The 1st Wiimbledon tourney of 2008 will be held at Barcade in Brooklyn, Saturday, June 7th. We'll be sending out more info -- sign up instructions, prize announcements, etc -- as we get close to June. Check wiimbledon.net for pictures and vids from last year's tournament.

2. The winner of the Brooklyn tournament will receive a pair of roundtrip tickets to San Francisco and seeding to compete in that tourney for the grand prize (which, while not decided upon yet, will be totally rad).

3. We'll be parking our Wiinnebago outside the Brooklyn tournament.

4. And after the whole thing's over, we'll drive to SF.

5. There will be many wondrous spirits at both locations. Horton hears a hooch.

6. This is all free.

We'll be stopping along the way to play at least one other tournament, and to gaze at our nation's natural beauty, e.g., the grand canyon, and ginormous balls of twine. More to come. Wiimbledon 2008: SF!

To all the rappers in the top 10: Wiimbledon's back, and this year we're kicking it 3,000 miles clockwise from NYC to San Francisco.

The plan: Leaving the first week in June, we'll 'Bago it Madden-style cross-country, stopping here and there for mini-tournaments, and gas, and probably your couch. We'll hit SF June 20th. The 2nd Annual Wiimbledon Tournament'll be held Saturday, June 21st.

We'll be releasing more details -- e.g., where exactly we're stopping along the way, what this year's prizes are, etc -- in the coming days and weeks. But anyone who hit up Wiimbledon 2007 knows how we throw down. So fear not, lil ladies, we're gonna bring the goodness through the breadbasket.
